I’m working at Right Solution

I've started working at Right Solution as the Project Manager. I am quite happy to get this job. Getting into this company was not that easy. I had to go through not one, not two but four interviews to get to this place.

Interview 1: by Salman and Danny

Salman is the Project Manager here who was leaving this place at the end of December. I applied for the post of a PHP Developer and when the interview started, I was asked if I would like to work as a Project Manager. I was like wow, a nice opportunity! After all these years of coding, I always dreamed about having a job where I could tell and assist people what to do and how to do it rather than cracking up the (sometimes laborious) code myself. But I never expected this opportunity to come so early! Salman told me they looked at my CV and thought my RentACoder profile proved I can communicate very well with the management in the US (who are Goraaz) and I was happy to take that job. Danny, the Art Director asked me questions which were nice. The interview had 10% technical stuff as they would have known I was OK with that technical part. 90% was non-technical and was rather interesting. Anyways, they told me they're going to call me up and let me know whatever happens.

Interview 2: Zaheer Dodhia (CEO of Right Solutions)

I was called up by Salman and I was told to reach the office for another interview. This time I had to interact with Mr. Zaheer Dodhia (the CEO) and he was a young and humble person. He very much resembled Bill Gates but he had a Macbook on his table :P

He asked me some good questions, especially about dealing with people, dealing with stress and all that, and he mentioned what I was expected to do if I do get this job and blah blah.. and after that interview, I had to go through another interview, and that had to happen on the phone!

Interview 3: Jeanne (Coordinator at ******* ******)

The third interview I had to go through was on the phone. This time it was a lady named Jeanne who was the Coordinator at .. ahm.. I am asked not to talk about that. She was a nice lady and somehow she liked my accent :P she asked me the usual management related questions and I answered with whatever common sense and management experience I had. That interview began to give me confidence that I am going to get this job! But Alas! I had one more interview :S and they told me it was the toughest of all.

Interview 4: Jolene (Design Consultant at *********)

Jolene was the final bridge I had to cross to get into Right Solution. That (phone) interview didn't look like to me as the toughest of them all, but I must say, the way Jolene conducted that interview was really cool. She sounded liked a really smart lady and had all the right questions for me. I don't know why but I thought I became *slightly* unreal in that interview and started flying kites and started giving answers from the textbooks rather than my own understanding of things.

Hurra Time: Today

I got a call from Danny today and he told me I am in! WOWOW! Man i am just so happy that I got this job. The pay is awesomish and the opportunity and the people/clients are big. I am going to manage a team of about 10 designers plus I am going to keep things synchronized between the US office and this Pakistan office. The only different thing is, this is a night shift job. The timing is from 9 pm to 6 am Pakistan time. This is done to match up with a team of some cool people in the US office as its daytime over there.

The Right Solution holds an entire building of their own in DHA Commercial, and its a well-built setup with 100+ employees working in various shifts.

Lets hope I can have fun over there! and pray that I don't feel sleepy that much over there! ;) cya!
