Tagged: 6 Weird Things

I woke up in the morning and as usual, I checked my emails. I saw these two comments where Ash and Dinky Mind had tagged me to disclose my 6 weird habits/things! But it was early morning, and the six point disclosure had to wait (You know what I'm sounding like dont ya :P ) as I was already kinda late for university. So I came back home from uni, had some sleep and just woke up a while ago. So, it seems I'm ready to go! :P

Firstly, the rules:

[The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names.]

Now the weirdy things:

1. I am a super 'bhulakkar' insaan. I often forget to do one of the important things when I get out of home. Sometimes I forget my wallet! At times I forget my keys just to get back again and run up through the stairs right to the 5th floor! Once I took off for university and after a couple of minutes of bike ride I realized I was still wearing 'chappals'! Once I reached university and my friend asked me why I hadn't set my hair.

2. My room is a MESS. I keep my room kinda locked up and have asked ghar walas to never step into the room. And my room is ALWAYS messed up with things never placed at their expected positions! My clothes are found on my table, books sometimes on the floor, at times on table, and at times on my chair; socks spread around randomly, my laptop's getting all dirty and I've never really cleaned it!

3. I am a lazy freak! I am so damn lazy k I can't tell you! If I want to do a thing, I'd do it in no time! Otherwise! It takes a looooooong time and still I lag behind time. I am probably one of the worst examples in the time management arena. Obviously this habit has it's effects. Some of the things (such as exams and assignments) just need to be done whether you like it or not - and I have to do those things (dil per pathar rakh ke) no matter what on time!

4. I don't like spicy food - which is weird in our culture here. I prefer halka masala in everything. This poses problems as some of the bestest of friends are spice lovers! which results in we not able to share the same plate! :P

5. I can't, just can't talk rudely or agressively to anyone! =X I have tried it several times but I fail miserably! I mean, just how handy a skill it is to have in situations like in a conversation with customer support or when in a service center of an electronic item to claim a warranty. In a nutshell, I can't ever become an 'Ilaaqey ka dada' or 'bhai' =(

6. I like to spend time with my own self - I know it sounds nerdy but then I am one. I often sit quietly and think loads about a lot of things for a long long time in one go! The thoughts are of various kinds, from movies to religion, from abstract to pure fictional :P

Okay, so that's it, now for my turn to tag upto 6 people, here they are:

Asma, UTP, Hina, Absar Shah, Saadi and YouTee

Umroo Ayyaaarr aur Vehshi Tola!

Today was a fun day! We had this software project exhibition at our university (PAF-KIET) which happens at the end of every semester. All the projects that have been made by the students are kept on display and different guests from the industry come and evaluate the projects, and finally a prize is given to the best project in different categories. I was lucky this time to win the first prize for my DBMS project - which I felt great about. I feel like aging and graduating with my final semester coming up :P

After the event, me, Umer, Irfan and Adeel went out to have food. We had biryani, liked it, and liked it more as we asked Umer to pay the bill! :P So, if you're wondering what does all this have to do with the title of the post, I'd like to tell you that this post is in a way dedicated to Umer aka YouTee.

Umer has been one of the best friends to have and he is one of the nicest people at heart! We asked Umer to pay the bills because it was Umer's last semester! yehh!! he has cleared all his courses and just has one final project to finish. He has been great (despite his condition - nah not the momento one :P ) with his studies and with the tech things that he likes to do! The amount of tafreeh we did during that khapa session is undescribable (like most of our tafreehs!) but the environment was so damn entertaining that Adeel couldn't stop thinking about a great title for the short story we had - so he named Umer as 'Umroo Ayyaaarr' and the three of us as the 'Vehshi Tola' :P nice title for a story isn't it :P

Summarize the post in three words?

We Had Fun! :P

How cool is an MBA?

Noman, one of my very good friends and I were discussing how cool is an MBA. Nomi is doing his MBA from IBA and he is damn good with studies! I asked him, if, MBA was a cool thing. He proudly explained:

"mba ko kuch nhi ata ... kuch ker nhi sakta ... mba main parhaya hi yeh jata hai kay "chay" kaisay  banana hai ... but (it's also true that) most of the time person with an MBA is your boss"

I heard him and I said 'wow man, you, an IBA student studying for an MBA degree are saying that!' and he said 'Yeahh!' and then gave me the link of a youtube video as an evidence, which I am posting here.

What do you think? ;)

Why?

I know a curious little boy,
Who is always asking “Why?”
Why this, why that, why then, why now?
Why not, why by-the-by?

He wants to know why wood should swim,
Why lead and marble sink,
Why sun should shine and wind should blow
And why we eat and drink.

He wants to know what makes the clouds
And why they cross the sky,
Why sinks the sun behind the hills
And why the flowers die.

Some of these why’s are not too hard
To answer if you’ll try;
Others no one ever yet
Has found the reason why

* I read this poem when I was in one of my earliest school days (probably class 1 or something), it was part of our english curriculum and I really loved it back then. Now fast forward to 2009, I just kinda recalled this poem and searched the web. All I found was the poem itself with no mention of the poet. But all in all, a very well written piece!

1 more to go

I am studying Object Oriented Analysis and Design right now. I have to appear in an exam tomorrow evening. I have gone through all these exams with a lot of pain. I mean, when did I ever study that hard last time? It was really kinda tough work, but it has paid well so far. I am thankful to the friends who were great company during this ride. It still ain't over and I am waiting for tomorrow evening before I can jump 4 feet high in excitement. But those long nights of stay at Irfan's place and the ever delicious stay at Adeel's place, as he lives around Burns Road, where the yummiest of food is available till atleast 2 AM, are times I had a lot of fun and learned a lot! Well, learned just about the courses we were studying! :) I knew web programming and databases enough to teach those pals and they knew Automata enough to teach me and we knew each other enough to have loads of fun during that!

And hey, it's new year that just started, so happy new year to those who have nothing to worry about, and all the best to those who do! ;)
