RACE

It was another usual day for me. BTW I've quit my job.. now I've decided to work on my own.. still working on creating my brand image. I don't find much time for that actually, I have a few other preferences, but some day I will ;) I have Ali Raza Shaikh's advice constantly running through my head which he gave me when I visited Nuvica's lush pash office in Business Avenue: show yourself as a company rather than an individual; try taking part in events such as SI, etc, etc. But I'm such a naughty boy, or a lazy boy, I only do things when I feel like doing them =|

Munir was able to convince me that human beings can "wish", "hope" and "pray" but not "do" or "decide" -- these two things are in God's hand... nice discussion that was too! Perhaps I already knew that, but it was in some nested folders within my head's drive! Munir helped it move to the Desktop!

I went to see the Indian movie RACE today at Nishat Cinema with friends. It looked like an ordinary movie in the beginning but it turned out to be a really interesting one at the end, and I kinda enjoyed it! Now that Pakistani govt. has allowed the Indian movies to run in Pakistani cinemas, I think it's going to be much more frequent for me to see one of better looking Indian movies too.

Pakistani movie KKL (Khuda Ke Liye) by the one and only ShoMan (Shoaib Mansoor) is going to be released in India on April 4th, 2008. Not sure how the Indian audience would receive it, time will tell though. All the best to ShoMan sahab.

Taare Zameen Per is coming soon in Pakistani Cinemas so I am surely going to go to Nishat for that as well!

Cheerz,
Kami

A Beautiful Mind

beautiful_mind.jpgI saw 'A Beautiful Mind' yesterday, it was indeed superb. Russel Crowe, one of my very favorites does it again with amazing acting and i must say the others acted superbly as well. It is quite an old movie but it was one that I missed.

Now that I got the chance to see it (thanks to my friend Sarfoo again who pushed me to buy this DVD yesterday at Radio City), I have to declare that it is one of the movies in my favorites list.

Russel Crowe plays the role of John Nash, a brilliant mathematician, who actually won a Nobel Prize in 1994.

The movie revolves around John Nash's life from the university days to the end when he wins the Nobel Prize.

John Nash is pictured fighting with his inner thoughts; He sees things no one else does, the case of Schizophrenia is what he is shown affected with.

I think this Sunday was good, having to go out, having a good time at Dolman Mall's food court and meeting some of my good friends. And hey, I've the stock for this month's entertainment: 4 DVD's which includes Shoaib Mansoor's 'Sunehrey Din' series ;)

Some Random Headlines

- We have hired a new developer in our team, this means I'll have much less time spent with the code. His name is Immad and he is freshly baked out of NED. He holds a BSIT from there. He seems to be a really nice and confident person, somebody who can make a difference in the upcoming years :)

- My brother Mushtaq bhai just had a cute baby about a week ago. They've named her Mariam. Congrats Bhabi and Bhayya! ;)

- My Big B Ashfaq bhai is back with his family from the rented house to their own flat where only I was living since the last few months. Welcome back family!

- We have another bomb blast at Quaidabad. Wonder why I am not that worried about it... oh yes, that's because it has become so common.

- People are stealing my Radio City collection. I am going to go to Radio City again for some DVDs!

Batman Begins 2 – The Dark Knight Trailer

This Batman series is the first in the history of Batman series that I've liked. in fact loved! Batman Begins makes a reasonable and believable Batman and well, I loved everything about that movie. Christian Bale is awesome as the Batman. Hope the sequel gives me the same entertainment that Batman Begins gave me :)
